Johnson Brothers were actually a British Tableware manufacturer. They do not just manufacture plates and bowls for Britain but they export it to America and other surrounding countries as well. They were known for they have introduced the “semi-porcelain” tableware. Their new creation were actually  earthenware that has the beauty of porcelain but has the durability of the Ironstone.

Their designs are actually one of the best. John Brothers Bowls are not just ordinary plain bowls you usually see in the market. They have intricately designed collections such as Historic America, Blue Willows and Old Castles. The engravings are very detailed and the glaze is very shiny and perfect. Their more older designs are even used as kitchen decors rather than for everyday use.

They started their production during 1880s and up to now they are still on the making. They have merged with the Wedgewood Group and has started to make simpler designs which would be salable to the masses. They are microwavable plates and bowls and dishwashable as well.
